This means getting people to do things that will protect their health—like get screened, quit smoking, and exercise more. At BFLA centers countrywide information on cancer prevention and different types of cancers.
Information/services available at any BFLA center includes:
• Tips on how to lower your risk for certain cancers.
• Educational materials on cancer prevention.
• Mobile clinics scheduled to deliver cancer screening services to people in hard to reach communities.
• Access to cancer screening services (Breast exam, Testicular exam, Prostate exam, PSA blood test, Papsmear, VIA)
